I saw it, the first bloom i.e.....so yes now I can acknowledge that spring is here, officially :). And I do believe that it has been here for quite a while, atleast for a couple of weeks if not more. I just failed to notice its arrival coz I have been so worried, over nothing really (that's in another post, still a draft but will be here soon, its a leeetle on a crazy side so bear with me). Pink flowers, wild ones at that, maybe that's why I noticed them in the first place, coz they weren't supposed to be there. Unlike the highly manicured grounds and color coordinated flowers in pots big enough to be a bath tub maintained by the univ people (tell me again why we are suffering from lack of funds in our lab?). So here's an idea why don't I jot down stuff that makes me grin/laugh like crazy at any and every place, and makes people around me wonder if I am right in me head (Yes I actually have my बत्तीसी/32 out at such occasions and unfortunately am among those few who find it really hard to control their laughter, needless to say has proved to be embarrassing at more than one occasion). Anneeewayz, so here's the list:
1.) The first bloom of spring (Haha gawd you should have seen that one coming :P)
2.) Somebody walking their dog/s (I smile coz of the dog, not the walker!! Yes I am crazy abt em and gng by my non-existent love life am probably gonna end up as the crazy dog lady!)
3.) A reeeeeeaaally cute guy (I mean come on.....don't hate me, I already mentioned my pathetic love life!!) ..(Ooops waitamin, there's a clause, the hottie spotting has to be at an inopportune moment, like say when I am already with someone else, or may be with my Mom n dad...basically when I can't really do something about it. I guess the giggling is then the sexual energy which surfaces, although i am open for interpretations)
4.) When, while walking, my ipod suddenly starts blaring one of those bhangra numbers (umm...did I tell you I am from Delhi??)
5.) When my dad calls me suddenly in the middle of the day coz he misses me :)
6.) Reading a P.G. Wodehouse, I actually do burst out laughing, public place or no public place.
7.) When I look at the shell my brother bought for me with my name painted on it from somewhere in South India on his school trip (he was in 9th standard, I am the younger (read pesky/irritating) one, and he didn't get anything as personal for anyone else, man I was blown away, my brother actually cared about me even back then. This was about...umm...1..2....more than 10 years ago!!)
8.) When I see somebody else smiling for no apparent reason!
9.) When there's a sale on Neiman Marcus (I still don't buy, but atleast it seems more possible। And hey I am a girl!)
9.) O.k. totally cheating here but please pretty please :D, so another #9 is that it makes me happy when it rains!! (for confirmation check out a previous post on the whole damn thing).
10.) When somebody flirts with me, nicely (o.k. this one I guess is pretty universal and I definitely can't play the game but its always nice isn't it??)
O.k. you guys your turn now. It shouldn't be hard to come up with 10 things that make you happy! (the traffic on this thing makes me wanna cringe, cry, hurl myself from the rooftop..or.. link all my blogger buddies, but then again I prefer it this way, atleast for the time being!)
