Imagine me and you..so happy together!!

I am in LOVE!!

His name is Greg.
He is a lawyer.
He is absofuckinglutely delicious.
He plays/used to play one half of the title role in Dharma & Greg.

*sigh*

Let's start from the beginning. I have a T.V. in my dorm room (17" people, yay for me!). I made a conscious decision not to plug it in! Coz when I did do that last semester, horrible things happened. I never went to bed before 3:00 am ( Not that I don't do that now!) and I started watching Golden girls. My awakening came while spending a weekend at my brother's place, when after spending 14 glorious hours shopping, eating, 'having the time of my life' type thing I still wanted to watch this sitcom about 4 septuagenarianish women. Yes, my brother did not approve, it wasn't like it was matrix you see!!! So now I scrounge around on the internet for sources of entertainment. So far I have covered Frasier, Scrubs, and The office.

Dharma & Greg. My friends from school (and when in school) used to watch this all the time. I never got to since my parents were against cable (we still don't have cable at home) so I was pretty out of what was currently happening on the tube(don't worry I was still the one with Attitude). Now I thought would be a good chance to catch up. So I started right from episode # 1 and man they didn't waste any time. So Dharma and Greg get married on their first "date"(It's more like a kidnapping but hey I am not complaining and neither is Greg after Dharma gives him some for 8 straight(!) hours on their wedding night). It basically is based on the opposites attract phenomena. People are generally very skeptical of this age old idea but I do think its true, or, atleast true in my case. I am a little nutty in my head but practically can be a tight ass :P so the kind of guys I go for are usually a bit on the wild side, with whom I can let my hair down i.e. in this series I would be Greg!! He is a lawyer, harvard grad...for people not familiar with this character think of a hetero Will from Will & Grace (Greg even looks like him). Dharma is flower child, hippie unmarried parents, whom she calls by their names (Abbey and Larry) and Greg sees them naked on their first meeting (Abbey was painting and Larry was the model...so obviously they had to do it in the nude! DUH!).

Greg, Greg, Greg...as if the naked parent-in-laws weren't enough Dharma is like the anti-thesis of whatever Gregory has been made to perceive as the perfect lady. But he accepts her, from day 1. And that is IMPOSSIBLE people!! All the eccentricities are endearing and every situation is fixable. Such a relationship, for me has existed only in my fantasy. I have hardly ever been in anything remotely resembling a relationship. I am commitment phobic and unfortunately so are my friends! It's hard for us to not freak out when things start getting serious. This definitely comes from being the second generational working women. Freedom for me is precious. I can't bear to have anyone share my bed (for sleeping). Yes its me who goes wham, bam thankyou sir, I am outta here. Or when I do try I wake up in the same position I went to bed in, exactly! With a stiff neck now to vouch for the uncomfortableness of the situation. And since I am fast approaching what my parents call the "marriageable" age, they expect me to present them with the perfect son-in-law, preferable within the next 2 years (I am 24). And that's the 2nd thing which seems impossible.

I want Greg, I want somebody to not try and change me. I want somebody to do the silly plus uber romantic hollywood kiss whenever, wherever coz I would, I really would. And somebody crazy about dogs (that dude is gonna be like the ultimate criteria!), somebody who wants to travel the world with me, adopt kids and whose idea of a perfect first date is a rock concert. He must be out there somewhere (Gawd how cliched is that??). I want GREG!
